Missionary Smith, a woman of excellence, dedicated with the gifts of helping, teaching and administration. She has demonstrated exceptional skills by coordinating multiple positions reflecting outstanding results.

Missionary Evelyn B. Smith is the seventh (7th) child of 16 children born to Deacon Grady and Missionary Earsie Turner-Brooks. Missionary Smith is the wife of the late Deacon Albert Lee Smith, Sr. for 39 years. To this union five girls and one boy were born. She is the proud grandmother of 8 (eight) grand-children.

Missionary Smith is a fourth (4th) generation Church of God in Christ member. She was saved and filled with the Holy Ghost at the age of 14, at Day Temple Church of God in Christ in Forrest City, Arkansas, under the leadership of Elder E.M. Day and Supervisor L.C. Day. Her loyalty and love for the work of God caused her to serve in many areas in the church from her youth to the present

Missionary Smith is a member of the Victory Temple Church of God in Christ in Forrest City, Arkansas under the leadership of Superintendent Oliver and First lady Zenna M. Smith. She was licensed as a missionary in 1987. She served as the coordinator of the Women’s Department of the Ephesians District (Forrest City District #2) from 1983-1987. In 1987 she was officially appointed as the District Missionary for Forrest City District # 2 by Mother Rosa Lee Graham. She has served in this position for the past 38 years.

Missionary Smith has been highly favored by the Lord to serve in many capacities in the church, on the local, district, and jurisdictional levels. She worked as an educator for the Lee County School District for 35 years. She retired from education in 2006.

Missionary Smith’s dedicated service has afforded her many opportunities in life. Most of all she is saved, Holy Ghost filled and committed to giving her all to the service of kingdom building. She loves serving the Lord and His people. Her deepest desire is, “To live Holy and to be used by God anywhere and anytime”.
